The process to purify contaminated oil starts when the oil passes through the in-line low watt density heater, where it is heated to a top temperature of 66 degrees C (150 degrees F). The oil will go into a distillation column where it is exposed to a vacuum. This will increase the exposed area of the oil and will convert water into vapor. The vapor form is then drawn through the condenser by the vacuum pump. The lube oil pump will remove the water free oil after it falls to the bottom. The pump places the dry oil in a final filter and the clean oil will pass out of the unit, back to the reservoir and into the system.
