The A series is manufactured by Thermosafe, and is a single induction coil that is intended to heat 205 liter of drums or smaller steel vessels, which is completely enclosed in a cylinder that is constructed from a glass reinforced resin especially made for chemical plant. The cylinder is simply placed over the drum, which physical contact is not needed.

The unit is attached to a single phase AC mains supply and creates heat directly and uniformly in the drum wall. It is highly appropriate for operation with up to 240 V AC of power.

Designed to heat 205 litre drums or smaller steel vessels. Thermosafe is a single induction coil, wholly encapsulated in a cylinder made from a glass reinforced resin specifically developed for chemical plant. The cylinder is simply placed over the drum. Physical contact is not required.

The coil is connected to a single phase AC mains supply and generates heat directly and uniformly in the drum wall. Energy transfer is by alternating magnetic field and thus there is no heat transfer by the conventional and inefficient means of radiation or convection. As there are no hot elements, the heater remains substantially cooler than the drum being heated.

Base heater - 2.25 kW, ATEX, IECEx, IP66

The Induction Base Heater works on exactly the same electrical principle as the Thermosafe heater, but permits significant additional power to be delivered into the base of a drum. For melting solids or rapidly heating highly viscous liquids this will dramatically reduce the total time required to reach operating temperature. It can also be used as a stand alone item, or with one of our insulation only jackets. The base heater is also certified to operate safely with HDPE plastic drums and smaller containers can be placed onto its hot plate if required. Where hazardous area certification is not essential, our DIGIHEAT base heater can be considered. Designed for use with or without a Thermosafe Drum Heater, it has an integrated digital temperature indicating controller.

Container heater

LMK flexible heating jackets are suitable for containers like drums, barrels, tubs, buckets, kegs, carboys, totes, and IBC's that are made of plastic, fiber or metal. Versions are available for anti-freeze protection of 200 litre drums, 55 gallon barrels, 1000 litre IBC's or 250 gallon totes, plus high power variants that are ideal for requirements of elevated temperatures. Heavy-duty waterproof nylon is what the outer material is made out of. It has been fitted with adjustable retaining straps and quick release clips to standard jackets. A high thermal efficiency layer of insulation is held in place between the outer cover and the inner element carrier. The silicone insulated heating element is woven back and forth along the length of the carrier.
