The width of the UHV Flexure Slit can be constantly tuned from 5 to 4000 microns. Additionally, it boasts an accuracy level of 10 percent regardless of the setting and a single micron width resolution. Furthermore, the jaw parallelism length is 1 to 40 mm, while the jaw parallelism numbers rings in at 1 micron and is constantly adjustable. It can be ordered with either a step motor or a manual drive system and with optional electrical isolation of the jaws, and either with heat or active sink cooling, with a 6 inch completely metal seal mount. This absolute flexure slit by McPherson is designed to render an extremely clutter free design and is free of bearings and sliding surfaces.
Its thickness can be seamlessly calibrates and combined with its detachable micrometers caters to baking. Milled from one piece of stock, this McPherson flexure drive offers excellent locking, boasts a compact footprint and provides class leading accuracy.
