Transformers of special geometric shapes or shapes not available in standard lamination sizes for chokes, pulse applications and current transformers.

Cut cores are ideal for transformer design engineers who require one to several thousand transformers in shapes that are unavailable in standard lamination sizes. Cut cores are ideally suited where weight or dimensional requirements are critical and have to be reduced.

Almost any size or 3-phase core can be made without expensive tooling. Special geometric shapes and assembly configurations are available to meet your design requirements at minimal costs. Cores are manufactured with new computer controlled precision equipment or with traditional cut core manufacturing procedures.

Available Materials: Microsil (grain-oriented silicon steel .001", .002", .003", .004", .007", .012"); Square 50 (50% nickel-iron .001", .002", .004", .006" and .012"); SuperPerm 80 (80% nickel-iron, .001", .002", .004", .006" and .012"). Also available are Cobalt Iron, Supermalloy, MetGlass, and Nanocrystalline materials

Core transformer / toroidal - 50 Hz | TN series

O.M.E.M. manufactures 0.20 Nickel-iron toroidal cores with a minimum internal diameter of 10mm up to a maximum external diameter of 1500mm, and with a strip width ranging from 5mm up to 150mm.

The weight of these toroids varies from a few grams up to 100kg. Toroids in 0.10mm Nickel-iron are produced with a maximum strip width of 70mm, for a maximum weight of 20kg. Larger or heavier toroids can be created by assembling different widths to obtain the desired core.

Toroids of 0.10mm can be provided with custom-made cases to protect the product during transport.

O.M.E.M. also manufactures hybrid toroidal cores, with or without cuts, made from Silicon-iron and Nickel-iron.

- Epoxy resin coating

Thanks to the epoxy resin coating process, a sufficient mechanical resistance of the very core is obtained, while the same process also enables to insulate the core; however, OMEM can definitely not guarantee with absolute certainty that said coating may also be suited for any kind of application, as factors that are independent from the OMEM production come into play.

O.M.E.M. manufactures Silicon-iron toroidal cores with a minimum internal diameter of 10mm up to a maximum external diameter of 1500mm, and with a strip width from a minimum of 5mm up to a maximum of 500mm. The weight of these toroids varies from a few grams to over 500kg.

O.M.E.M. manufactures these products with square, rectangular and stepped cross-sections, according to the customers requirements.

O.M.E.M. also manufactures hybrid toroidal cores, with or without cuts, made from Silicon-iron and Nickel-iron or Nanocrystalline.

Toroidal cores can be cut according to the customer's requirements with a number for cuts ranging from 2 to 48. Cores with a single cut can also be produced for special applications.

Cut cores can be provided with non-magnetic steel bands with hexagonal nut or ratchet pawl and air gaps (if necessary).

Note:
Machining through grinding or with diamond tools is possible. Resistant against weather conditions, oxidation and many chemicals. Contact with food is not allowed.
