1/2" microphone / condenser / prepolarized / free-field - M2010, M2015

The M2010 and M2015 are compact microphones that have precised measurements; they are mostly used for R&D, acoustics and production. They are made for the applications in which the space is limited.

The microphones are utilized for a flat, free-field response in the audio range from 20 Hz up to 20 kHz frequency. They are characterized by their 1/2 in. omni-directional pressure microphone. Their phantom power ranges from 10 up to 48 V direct current.

They have detachable cable at their pre-amplifier; it eases the incorporation into mechanical fixtures like robotic arms. They are equipped with a wind screen, a stand and a calibration certificate with individual frequency response chart and sensitivity.

1/2" microphone / condenser / prepolarized / free-field - Class 1 (IEC61672-1), 16 dB(A) - 139 dB

The measurement microphones for XL2 analyzer are phantom powered of 48-V, and includes an electronic data sheet. To have a faster setup and accurate measurements, the ASD automatically reads the data.

The body of the microphone contains a preamplifier. The device integrates high dynamic range and wide frequency range. The measurement is connected via an ASD cable to the XL2 audio and acoustic analyzer.

The frequency of the device ranges from 5 Hz to 20 kHz. The individual frequency response is available on the Excel data. The models M2230, M2211, and M2215, are created by the combination of the preamplifier MA220 and a microphone capsule. The device has a dynamic range of 16 to 139 dB. Is used to measure microphones for the sound level monitoring, and room acoustal measurements.

Acoustic sensor

The Schmitts standard external audible detector can be bolted with ease onto the grinding unit by employing a M6 cap-screw. It is well-suited for conditions when it can be bolted near to the grinding process like onto shoe-plates on bearing grinding machines for race grinding or onto a point dresser block for dresser monitoring. The user-friendly retrofitting with the AE detector, makes it a well-known option for several grinding operations.

Grinding machine acoustic sensor

The in-spindle AE is a sound sensor for grinding machines. This product is a non-contact and come int two formats. It has two different types namely telescopic type and spiral-cable type. The telescopic types contains a slide tube that facilitates the installation and sits inside a 4 mm bore in a grinding machine spindle or rotary diamond dresser unit. With this configuration, it enables the acoustic sensor to spin having the spindle and to be in close proximity to the grinding event.

In addition, the spiral cable type operates on the same non-contact principle. The telescopic slide is changed with the spiral cable. The in-spindle sensor is useful for OEMs manufacturing internal/ external grinding spindles or rotary diamond dressers. Schmitt also produced mounting kits for end-user applications where a spindle bore is available. Mounting an AE sensor in this way gives a more direct signal and increased sensitivity.

Acoustic transducer

Its a device used in grinding process when AE contact is needed. These situations happens when machine design or high frequency , mechanical or electromagnetic noise does not allow the usage of other AE sensor types. It uses the coolant present in the grinding machine which can be water or oil. A separate supply from the cutting string is taken from the coolant filter and is pointed towards dresser. Within 1 millisecond the noise of touching grinding wheel with the dresser is given back to the coolant. It has a polyurethane pipe which can easily be fixed in grinding machine coolant supply.

Miniature acoustic sensor

The Mini AE sensor is useful where space is at a premium, or direct contact with the rotating part of a grinding or dressing spindle is necessary but a spindle bore is not available. It is a non-contact sensor and can be bolted on either end of a spindle using an M6 LH or RH thread. The AE signal is passed from the rotating sensor across an air gap to a non-contact receiver unit. The direct mounting nature of this sensor gives strong uninterrupted signals.

Machine monitoring acoustic sensor

The AE-Sensor Balance Head, manufactured by Schmitt Europe, is capable of being installed inside an external flange type-G balanced head. In addition, it can also be attached into an in-spindle type balance head with type-G transmitter model. As an effect, these configurations generally provide a more direct interaction with the rotating grinding spindle.
