The PGC5007B is used for total sulfur analysis for a range of streams, liquid and vapor, from natural gas to gasoline and diesel. A sample inject valve injects a fixed volume of sample from the process stream. The sample is transported into the furnace through air. Here the sample is oxidized to carbon dioxide, water and sulfur dioxide. These components are separated through packed columns and pass into the Flame Photometric Detector (FPD) where the trace levels of Total Sulfur are measured.
