3S Colorimeter makes two measurements during an analysis cycle:
- the first step is the measurement of the raw sample and allow to compensate the colour and the turbidity of the sample and the fouling of the cell
- the second step is the measurement of the sample after color reagent addition and reaction time
The concentration is measured with the absorbance calculated with the difference between the two measurements and with the stored calibration parameters.

The Total Phosphorus concentration can be measured using two different methods depending on the range requested:

Photochemical oxidation and blue colorimetric method
Photochemical oxidation and yellow colorimetric method

Both methods use advanced photochemical oxidation, sulphuric acid, heat, UV irradiation and a chemical oxidizer (sodium persulfate).
After the complete oxidation of the phosphorus in the sample to PO4, then a colorimetric reaction is performed and the intensity of the colour developed is proportional to the phosphate concentration present in the sample.

UV400 is the on line water analyzer built and produced by Tethys Instruments.

It offers the possibility to measure the main pollutants in water (such as organic matter, nitrates, color, hydrocarbons, ammonia and h2s) in one single enclosure, using UV-Vis spectroscopy. This method is well-known for its reliability and stability,
as well as its low operating cost.

UV400 can also SCAN the sample between 180 and 800 nm in order to measure
a pollutant in a complex matrix.

In order to complete its offer, Tethys Instruments fits in the turbidity
by LED nephelometry and specific probe in-situ forphysico-chemical
