The CRA1-Z rack and pinion actuator by SMC Corporation, features its compact auto switches. These switches can be affixed from the front with width reduction of 14mm which consists of 30, 50, 63, 80, and 100 mm bore sizes on standard model. The angle modifiable type, CRA1**U-Z, has been supplemented to the line in bore sizes 50, 63, 80 and 100 while the other units are capable of automatic switching and exchangeable cushions. Additionally, Shaft types are also available in different variations along with the crenelated cushion valve which has a maintaining ring that helps avoid a drop out and adjustable using a wrench. Also, an automated circular knob can be attached and fixed in front of two plane and you can positioned it anywhere within the mounting channel at any point in time.

The CRA1-Z series allows for easy adjustment of the cushion valve, weighs less and allows for increased flexibility to the auto switch mounting. The indented cushion valve comes with a retaining ring. The CRA1-Z can be interchanged with the CRA1 model as they have similar exterior, shaft diameter and mounting dimensions. The round type auto switches can be easily mounted at the front onto two surfaces it can also be positioned in any location on the mounting grove at any time. The CRA1-Z series can be easily manipulated because of the cushion valve and auto switch position are similar.

This device is available in sizes ranging from 12 to 63 mm. The clamp stroke length is available up to 50 mm depending upon the model. This exhibits a perfect spectrum of mounting on the body or through the hole. Some of the other advanced design features are the fully replaceable seals and guide pins. This device can be perfectly used with compact D-M9 auto switch which can be mounted on all four sides (only two, if the model belongs to the 20 or 25 mm variants). They are also useful in conjunction with magnetic field resistant auto switch Series D-P3DW.
