As this type of machine generally is operated under very hard conditions, we actually decided to integrate in our new REFLEX range the same technical choices as for our well-known heavy duty LIDEX scrap shears with side compression. This had never been done before.

The LIDEX hydraulic scrap shear with side compression is specifically designed for the compacting and shearing of heavy and bulky scrap.
LIDEX scrap shears achieve very high production levels with reduced operational costs.
With the LIDEX, COPEX introduces a new concept of machine and offers the first machine in the world having a full automatic cycle. This cycle is including the dropping of scrap from the pre-load table into the compression box, the closing of the box, the precompression of the log and the complete cutting cycle.
This unique function is offered mainly by two major innovations:
the original kinematic design of the pre-load table contributes to considerably reduce scrap preparation and number of movements,
the oversized lid designed to ensure exceptional compacting force and reduce cycle times.
The operator is no longer required for compression and shearing operations and has free time to carry out other running operations.
With the LIDEX productivity increase is of 25 %.

The CVV scrap shears with compression by wings is specifically designed for the compacting and shearing of light to medium-sized scrap materials.
The CVV are equipped with a large compression box and a high performance shear. For the cutting forces of 800t and 1000t, the shear frame is the same as for the LIDEX heavy scrap shears with side compression.
The electrical cabinet and the hydraulic group can be placed in a sound-proof container ensuring optimal protection against any damage caused by bad weather conditions and vibrations of the machine. This option can be of particular interest in case a compact configuration is needed.
The CVV is very easy to install as no expensive engineering works are required. It is also very easy to transfer the machine to another scrap yard.

The P1C baler is specifically designed to compress tin and aluminium cans & similar metal waste into high density bales.
Based on Copex know-how and experience in the design and manufacturing of balers for scrap and metal recyclers, the P1C balers with fully automatic operation are ideal to press metallic waste coming from waste sorting centers into high density bales.
The P1C balers are in full compliance with the current requirements of the steelmakers.
They can be integrated into the waste selecting process. In such case the feeding with waste materials is made in continuous by means of a belt conveyor which might be equipped with magnetic separator. The P1C balers can also be installed separately.
The pusher piston and the upper part of the compacting chamber are equipped with cutting edges which cut protruding products.
