Fiber optic illuminator - Intensilight
The Nikon Intensilight is a pre-centered fiber illumination system which lasts up to 10 times longer than conventional mercury lamps as it has a typical lifetime of 2,000 hours. Its long life lamp can be replaced easily and doesn't need to be aligned. The Intensilight can be controlled with Nikon's NIS-Elements software and it benefits from a stable light intensity with no flickering. No heat or electrical noise is generated from the lamp and transferred to the microscope body due to the Intensilight's fiber connection. A uniform brightness is always ensured from Intensilight.
