Indentation hardness tester - TIV
The TIV (Through Indenter Viewing) method is applicable for testing companies using a universal, portable unit. It is also widely used in research institutes, coil manufacturers, and heat treat shops. It is a technique based on hardness testing according to Vickers by means of special optics. It is made up of injection-molded plastics and weighs approximately 1.4 kg (3.1 pounds) including MIC 20-BAT. It is reliable to use since the indentation of the images can be transferred and evaluated automatically, directly, and quickly.Other features include TIV through special lenses and a CCD camera and direct evaluation and assessment of the quality through observation of the indentation on the screen.
